Long description

Cevher Çağı is an online medieval RPG set in a valley ringed by mountains, in a town walled in stone with 14 towers. Everyone in the valley comes from the same town. Each player is born as Fire, Air, Earth or Water, and each element makes products no other can: bronze, steel, firebrick, mudbrick, pigment. The town needs all of them, and the player market carries that need.

The economy is measured in hours. Someone who plays two hours a day earns a bronze sword in about three days and a steel sword in ten; taking a two-handed steel weapon to +10 takes more than a year. The level cap is 60, and even the fastest player needs at least two months to reach it. The aim is a road a player can follow for a lifetime, where no goal is finished in a few days.

Life in town runs on a rhythm. Every 48–72 hours the vein shakes; creatures march up the east road to the forge, players repair the broken forge and patch the cracked shop with mudbrick. Every evening at 21:00 Turkey time, Damar Nefesi (Vein's Breath) is defended on Büyük Çayır (Great Meadow); Monday, Wednesday and Friday are silver nights. On Saturday clans fight for Damar Ağzı (Vein's Mouth), and on Sunday the Altın Bekçisi (Gold Guardian) wakes.

Clans grow on reputation and raise their houses stone by stone on 10 plots in the castle, through five tiers, over 28-day seasons. The game can be played alone; playing together makes the work go faster.

Cevher Çağı is currently in closed testing on Windows. Its interface is in Turkish.

Highlights

  • Four elements: Fire, Air, Earth, Water. Each has its own weapon, its own skills and products only it can make.
  • An economy measured in hours: at 2 hours a day, a bronze sword takes about 3 days, a steel sword 10 days, a +10 weapon more than a year.
  • 60 levels; the three branches of the skill tree need 120 points, and a player has 60.
  • A town whose life repeats: vein tremors, raids marching on the forge, a forge and a shop to repair.
  • A weekly rhythm: Damar Nefesi every evening, three silver nights a week, clan war on Saturday, the Gold Guardian on Sunday.
  • Clans: 5 levels, up to 50 members, 10 plots in the castle, 5-tier clan houses, 28-day seasons, crests and banners.
  • Player market: rented stalls that keep selling while you are offline, plus personal stalls; 3% tax on every sale.
  • Eight creatures and two guardians; player fights at Damar Ağzı from level 10, and duels in the castle courtyard.
  • A nine-step guide walks new players through the core loop.
