One town, four elements

Everyone in the valley comes from the same town and stands together against the creatures. You are born as Fire, Air, Earth or Water, and that choice is for good.

Your element has no effect on how fast you mine; its power transforms what you mine instead. Fire melts bronze, Water quenches iron into steel, Earth turns clay into firebrick, Air dries mudbrick and makes pigment. Each product is made by one element only; everyone else buys it at the market.

You can play alone. When the market is empty, the smith will cast bronze and steel too, at a loss. Playing together makes the work go faster: the forge is repaired together, raids are driven back together, clan houses rise together.

A road for a lifetime

Every cost is measured in hours of play, and those hours are deliberately long. No goal is finished in a few days; what you own gains value the longer you play.

  • ≈ 3 daysBronze sword6–7 hours of earnings for a new player.
  • ≈ 10 daysSteel swordA one-handed steel weapon takes about 20 hours of earnings.
  • Over a year+10 weaponTaking a two-handed steel weapon to +10 takes about 950 hours on average. From +4 on, a failed attempt can knock the weapon back a step.
  • 2+ monthsLevel 60Even the fastest player, mining around the clock, needs at least 60 days. Each level asks for 17% more EXP than the one before.
  • 28 daysClan seasonAt the end of every season, the castle's 10 clan-house plots are handed out again by each clan's average points over the season.

Item times assume a player at the matching stage who mines 2 hours a day and sells the ore in town, using the game's own economy values. The level-60 figure is for the fastest possible player playing nonstop. The game is in closed testing; values may change with balancing.

What's in the closed test

Everything below is playable in today's test build.

A player swings a poleaxe (teber) as Flame Rift sets the meadow alight, engulfing a Vein Djinn and a Crimson Warden

Four elements

Fire, Air, Earth or Water. The elements differ not in raw power but in what their skills do.

  • Each element has its own weapon: Fire the axe, Air the spear, Earth the mace, Water the sword.
  • Fire hits hard up close, Air strikes from range, Earth holds the front, Water heals.
  • No armor: protection comes from your shield and your element's defensive skill.
  • The skill tree's three branches (Attack, Defense, Mining) need 120 points; you will only ever have 60. Miner, fighter or something in between is your call.

The smith (Demirci), in a leather apron, hammers a glowing bar of iron on the anvil outside the stone smithy

Craft and market

Ore comes out under the pickaxe, changes in the forge and the workshop, and becomes a weapon on the anvil.

  • Mine copper, tin, iron and clay; your pickaxe climbs from iron to bronze to steel.
  • Fire melts copper and tin into bronze; Water quenches red-hot iron into steel.
  • The smith forges weapons and raises them up to +10; every attempt costs ingots and scrolls from the Sahaf (Bookseller).
  • Rented stalls on market street keep selling while you are offline, and P opens a rent-free personal stall. Every sale is taxed 3%.

A fire burns in the stone ring of the roofed hearth on the town square; behind it the merchant's shop, market stalls and a wall tower

Life in town

The town lives with its own troubles. They keep coming back, and they are solved together.

  • Every 48–72 hours, at a moment no one can predict, the vein shakes.
  • With each tremor, creatures march up the east road to the forge; stop them on the way and the forge stays whole.
  • A broken forge is set right with a mason's hammer, and Air fans the last 10%. Air's mudbrick patches the cracked shop of the Tüccar (Merchant).
  • Every evening at 21:00 Turkey time, Damar Nefesi (Vein's Breath) is defended on Büyük Çayır (Great Meadow).

Aerial view of the castle: the copper-roofed stone hall, the Four Elements Courtyard with its dueling ring, bannered clan houses and walls

Clans

Found your clan, raise its house stone by stone in the castle, and hold Damar Ağzı (Vein's Mouth) on Saturdays.

  • Reputation earned in fights becomes clan points when you donate it; a clan grows over 5 levels from 30 to 50 members.
  • There are 10 plots in the castle; a clan house rises through 5 tiers and needs the products of all four elements.
  • Clan war every Saturday at 20:00: the winning clan works Damar Ağzı's vein for a week.
  • The leader assembles a crest from parts; it shows on members' clothes and on the house banner.
